Icon:                        Index :                    Symbol:      bin        2) Icons and indexes are so important in media texts due to them being something that we understand and can clearly link to what the meaning is and therefore understand the reason for that being there. 3) As symbols may not be as clear as an icon, therefore, there will be confusion which will lead to the symbol being interpretedetted in the wrong way due to it being not as a clear which may cause controversy in an advert. 4)                                                  This media product may have failed due to the racist undertones within the index as well as the symbols.
