Textual Analysis

1) What type of text is it? The text I have chosen is a television advert that created large controversy towards is due to its ideology and denotation. 2) How do you know? What are the key conventions that allowed you to identify the text? The Key Conventions of this advert is the use of star power as having a major fashion icon in Kendall Jenner in advert creates a large amount of publicity for Pepsi as well as the use of having Pepsi being shown several times throughout the advert clearly follows key conventions throughout the advert. 3) In your opinion, who is the target audience for this media text? Newspapers Which daily newspapers (if any) do you read?       I don't tend to read any newspapers but if available the daily mail. What sections of newspapers do you turn to first, and why?  Generally, I turn to the back of the newspaper for the sports pages if there are no major news stories that catch my eyes and read the sports section as a good pass time. What sections do you never read, and why? I hardly ever read the economy section or financial as it does not have a major effect on me but however it does I get notified about it on my phone. What kinds of stories do you usually read and why? Sports section as it is something that I am quite interested into and enjoy reading about these sections. 1) Why did you choose A Level Media Studies? I decided to choose Media A-Levels due to after doing it during GCSE I found it is something that allows me to be creative and express myself and therefore a subject I should be able to excel at. 2) Did you take GCSE Media Studies (either here at Greenford or a different school)?
